Michael ​Francis McCarthy is an American roots musician. Born in South America, he has lived and performed throughout the northeast and the deep south, absorbing elements of Delta blues, bluegrass, old country, Andean folk music, 70s jam and thrash metal. A lifetime wandering with a guitar has formed a musical vision that is at once both original and traditional, spanning multiple American roots music genres.
